Dark Images
Sometimes things get a little grey when crossing over the threshold from childhood into woman-hood . When growing up, we face choices and demons and sometimes we choose well… sometimes we don’t. Sometimes the lines and boundaries of right and wrong are blurred by inexperience and immaturity.
We don’t want to give up the dolls and playthings, so they are hidden away and grow as old as we are. Memories haunt us and become like a skeleton warning us of our own mortality.
These images were made on a flatbed scanner. The dolls are about 50 years old and bear a lot of history.
