The Oskorei, in Norewegian folklore, is the terrifying hoard of the faery world. I made this mixed media mobile by screen printing my designs on plexiglass, foam core, and paper. The warriors were printed on both sides and aligned so they matched when cut out. The shield and helmet was printed on plexiglass. The bird is my favorite piece in the set. I printed both sides of paper with blue and black. I then cut out lots of feathers and glued them together onto a wire frame. The mobile, including the hanger, is about 5 feet high. It was exhibited in the 2011 Student Art Show at Western Oregon University.
